Finished Project: Wise Owl Costume

 

Stay tuned for your chance to vote for this owl costume I made in Burdastyle.com's Halloween costume contest. Kid's costumes probably don't do as well as some of the more interesting adult entries, so I need your help if I hope to win some cash or a new sewing machine ( I could really use either). I'm super proud of it because in just a few days I turned this sketch:

It turned out even better than I had hoped. And don't let the grouchy face fool you: Lucy loves her owl costume. She wore it around our new neighbourhood yesterday.  It turned out seriously cute, even without the specs and beak:
